Dr. Bernie Smith graduated from The University of Melbourne in December 1982 and is a senior principal dentist at Imperial Dental. He commenced practicing at “220 Camberwell Road” in late 1984. He has a special interest in implant dentistry from 1994, being a member of the Academy of Osseointegration and also the ITI (International team for Implantology). He was associated with the Hawthorn Football club as club Dentist ( jointly with Peter Taylor) for over 25 years. He has been President of ACAD (Australian Central Association of Dentists) on multiple occasions. His obsession away from Dentistry is France and it’s wines
Dr. Sundeep Kaur is one of the principal dentists at Imperial Dental. Sundeep graduated from the University of Otago, New Zealand in 2004 with a degree of Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Credit. She has over 16 years of experience as a General Dental Practitioner in a private dental practice in Australia. Sundeep is very experienced and confident in delivering dental care in all aspects of Dentistry including dental implants, smile makeovers, cosmetic dentistry, root canal treatment, invisalign orthodontics, crown and bridge work, oral surgery etc. She is a very caring, ethical and personable dentist who is passionate about her work. She always strives to provide the highest quality dental care to all her patients in their best interests and treats them in the same way as she would like herself to be treated.
Sundeep keeps up to date with latest developments and modern dentistry techniques, and regularly attends postgraduate dental seminars. She has completed a Fellowship in Impantology in 2017 from the University of Miami, US. Sundeep is an active member of Australian Dental Association.

Dr. Mary Ann Liu graduated with a Masters of Dentistry from Latrobe University, Bendigo in 2013 where she was awarded dux of her cohort. She spent the final two years of the degree working in rural and regional public clinics in Victoria and received awards for outstanding academic achievement including the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons Academic Prize and The Australian Dental Association Victoria Branch Latrobe Dental School Final Year prize. Mary Ann has over 7 years of experience in a private practice in Victoria.
Mary Ann enjoys all aspects of general dentistry with strong interest in preventative, minimally-invasive dentistry and clear orthodontic aligners.
She is committed to keeping up to date with the latest modern dentistry techniques and is a member of the Australian Dental Association.
Mary Ann’s friendly and empathetic personality is perfect for caring for the entire family’s dental health. She listens to every individual patient's needs and expectations to deliver the best possible treatment plan.
Outside of dentistry, she enjoys spending time playing tennis and oil painting.
Dr Samantha Tan qualified with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Adelaide in 2015. While Dr Sam has practised in various settings including regional and public practices, for the past few years, she has been based in private practice in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, which is where she also attended high school.
When she is not in the clinic, Dr Sam enjoys keeping fit. Her hobbies include yoga, pilates and taking her two cavalier King Charles Spaniels for walks.
